Robert King...Artist

Robert King was born in Leicester in 1936. He attended Leicester College of Art (1952-54) as a part-time student before completing two years army service in Egypt between 1954-56.
Robert King resumed art school in 1957.

Robert worked as a shoe designer but continued to paint and exhibit in Leicester, London and abroad. Since 1989, Robert King has exhibited on six occasions at Burlington Paintings.
Robert's last exhibition in 1999, entitled, Robert King's "Grand Tour" was an outstanding success.

In 1996 Robert was commissioned by a recently amalgamated Cavalry Regiment, The Light Dragoons, to paint the occasion of the presentation of the Guidon to their Commander in Chief, Her Royal Highness the late Princess of Wales.
