Mauro Bendinelli...Artist
Mauro Bendinelli has established an enviable reputation as one of Italy's finest landscape painters. In his spellbinding world, the sun sets over dazzling fields of poppies and flowers, and the hillsides are dotted with ancient farmhouses and ruined buildings in shades of warmest terracotta.
Mauro was born in Livorno in 1947. A self-taught artist, he has achieved remarkable artistic maturity through a combination of personal experience and determination to pursue his chosen path. He has a strong instinctive feel for how to look at his surroundings and translate what he sees into beautiful and painterly portrayals of the landscape, His work conveys an overwhelming aura of inner peace, and this attribute along with the superbly depicted scenes has won him popularity both home and abroad.
Mauro has lived in some of Italy's most beautiful places, but his home is now the Tuscany that we see in his paintings. He travels widely across the region, taking his easel and paints with him, and has become a familiar figure to locals - almost himself a part of the landscape he represents. Mauro's work is found in many private collections around the world.
