Mark Demsteader was born in Manchester where he still lives and works. Mark studied at Rochdale College and Oldham College before and taking up a postgraduate position at the Slade School of Art in London.
In a long and varied career Mark Demsteader's drawings have won several awards including The Lyceum Prize and The Sidney Andrews Scholarship. In recent years Mark's reputation has flourished, such that Mark has become one of the most popular figurative artists working in Britain today.
