Marie Ackers...Artist
Born in Paris, Marie moved to England 9 years ago. She always worked in IT for blue chip companies until her passion for creativity took over and she started developing her art.
Originating from a vibrant Latin background, of which form and texture are an integral part, Marie expresses these in her contemporary sculptures and oil paintings. Marie has found that those passions give her the freedom to express movement, and bring life to her subjects. Marie specialized in Equestrian art, bronze sculptures. Marie is a keen rider herself.
Commissions accepted for both modern art and sculptures. Expressing movement and power are the main characteristic in Marie's work, from the highly textured modern paintings to her figurative sculptures.
Marie is a Friend of the Society of Equestrian Artists (SEA), a Member of the equine Art guild, part of the RedKite Fine Art online Gallery and a member of the Surrey Sculpture Society.
