Helen McChesney...Artist
Helen McChesney's serious studies began at the Royal College of Art, working figures into glass, but later Helen concentrated on life paintings and drawings. Helen has enjoyed teaching at various colleges and she is presently concentrating on her own work.
The study of movement and attitude of the figure is the essential motivation of Helen McChesney's work. Inspired by the Renaissance style, Helen tries to produce paintings which portray a sense of tranquility and strength, at the same time allowing an element of anonymity to evolve, to explore the feeling of calm and sensuality.
The images shown here are the first original limited editions published of Helen McChesney's work, they have all been well received and admired.
