Donald Wilkinson...Artist
Donald Wilkinson: A contemporary British painter and printmaker, Donald Wilkinson studied art techniques at the Carlisle College of Art and Design, Cumbria (1953 - 1957), and at the Royal College of Art, London (1959 - 1962).
In 1962 he was awarded the Andrew Lloyd Scholarship for Landscape and during the following years he received such awards as The Giles Bequest, British International Print Biennale (1974), The Pallas Prize, British International Print Biennale (1976), National Museum Prize, Cracow International Print Biennale, Poland (1980), the Northern Arts Award (1994) and Visual Arts UK (1995).
Today a number of Donald Wilkinson's works of art on paper is included in the collection of the British Council. |
