Charlotte Atkinson...Artist
Charlotte is lucky enough to live on the South Devon coast with her partner, Jeff, who owns his own blacksmithing company. Loving where she is and who is with her with when she wakes up in the morning gives her a positive start to every day!
Her first job after breakfast is to walk her dog along the estuary or down on the beach; this is a great time for her to think and plan, and helps her to focus on the day ahead. Later, Charlotte makes phone calls and does the boring administrative chores that we all have to put up with, then she makes her way to her studio which is on a farm 15 miles from her home. She then tries to paint right through until around 6 in the evening, always in the company of either music or French radio to give herself an interesting and stimulating atmosphere.
To prepare for the next day she generally tries to clear up the mess she has made, which is usually quite considerable! When Charlotte arrives home, she tends to cook together with her partner and eat a relaxed late supper, or go out and meet up with friends. At some point during the day she tries to find time for some Yoga which she finds is a helpful way to relax and get in touch with herself - both very important for her work. Charlotte is also passionate about her allotment and spends as much time as she can there taking care of her beloved vegetable garden!
